While the
dates below don’t pertain to all Mitchell families, I’m re-sharing the dates as
a reminder for some families about how important it is to have students attend
summer school each day. We can help them
learn a lot – but only if they are at school and on time.
Summer ESL Academy at Scarlett for students who are
learning English
· Monday - Friday, July 7 – 25
· Each day from 8 AM – 1 PM
· Breakfast and lunch is served
· Transportation is provided
for bus zones. I don’t have the bus
number at the moment I’m writing this, but parents can ask the bus driver if
their bus is taking kids to Scarlett. If
yes, that is the bus for this program.

Mitchell Summer Bridge at Mitchell for students in
K, 2nd, 4th and 5th grades
· Monday - Friday, July 7
– August 1
· Each day from 8:30 - 11:30
· Transportation is provided
for bus zones in the morning and to take kids home just before noon. The bus
number for this program is 142. The bus
schedule is as follows:
o 8:10 Carpenter Rd
o 8:12 Oakengates
o 8:17 Arbor Meadows Clubhouse
· Breakfast is served each day
· Lunch and afternoon
programming until 3 PM is available each day (free) for Bridge student who
register with Community Action Network by calling Jennifer Hurt at (734) 546-9239.
NOTE: There is no bus service at
3 PM. Parents must pick up promptly at
Mitchell School at 3 PM each day.
Ann Arbor Summer Learning Institute at Logan School
for students in 1st and 3rd grades
· Monday - Friday, July 7 –
August 1
· Each day from 8:30 AM – 12:30
PM
· Transportation is
provided. I don’t have the bus number at
the moment I’m writing this, but parents can ask the bus driver if their bus is
taking kids to Logan School. If yes,
that is the bus for this program.
