Girls On The Run - Registration Open!

Registration is open for Girls on the Run! Our program at Mitchell is open to all 3rd – 5th grade girls and will meet afterschool on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 4:00pm – 5:30pm March 10th through May 21st. All registered participants will receive a healthy snack at each lesson, a program t-shirt, water bottle and entry into the incredible Girls on the Run 5k on Sunday, May 18th (all students, staff and families are welcome to come run/walk with our Mitchell girls!).

In-District Transfer Requests Now Available

In-District Transfer request forms are now available on the AAPS website – a2schools.org. A list of available schools is included on the application and information form. Applications will be accepted until this Friday, February 14, 2014.

All About Michigan (K-5, Full day) - This fun-filled, hands-on week is all about Michigan. Activities include daily arts and crafts, games, gym and outdoor exploration, a visit from Mr. Szcygiel - Guest Naturalist, an all-camp field trip on Friday and sledding (weather permitting)! Come explore, listen and learn more about our great state.
 Lego Design Camp (K-5, Mornings) - Campers experience what it's like to be an engineer! Plan and map out LEGO building projects using computer-aided design software. From bridges to cars to the limits of the imagination, LEGO Digital Designer allow students to go from the drawing board to a real life LEGO brick masterpiece in no time.
 Draw and Display Art Camp (K-8, Full day) - Campers will experiment with a wide array of art materials and create several individual and group projects. The seven elements of art will be taught and reflected in camper's amazing works. Campers will mat projects for an art exhibit and reception on Friday.
Hoops Basketball Camp (K-7, Mornings) - Do your kids love basketball? Coaches will focus on drills that improve skill sets of individual players in areas of dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, and teamwork.
Soccer Camp (K-7, Afternoons) - Soccer players of all skill levels are welcome in this camp. Our coaches will help them improve their ball control, shooting and passing techniques, as well as their defensive skills. This camp is a "no pressure, fun for all" activity.
