AAPS is pleased to provide key supplies to every AAPS student.  During our first distribution, we handed out kits with general school supplies and EveryDay Math materials.

We are preparing for our next distribution which will include art supplies, instruments (5th grade), recorders (4th grade) and books.  Some grade levels are ready for the next math journal and those will be included, as well.  We will also have general supply kits available for any student who did not receive their kits during the first distribution.

Our next distribution will take place:

  • Monday, November 9th, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Wednesday, November 11th, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM.

All distributions are drive-thru at Mitchell.  Stay in your car and wear a mask.  Walkers and bikers are welcome!  We just ask everyone to wear masks and practice social distancing. Grades Y5-1st, will come to the loop at the front of our school.  Grades 2-5 will pick up supplies in the back parking lot. (Mitchell/Scarlett lot) There is a map attached to this email.

AAPS supplies are for every AAPS student!! They contain important supplies that your student will need for art, music, instrumental music, and grade level assignments.

Curriculum Night – Tuesday, October 6

Curriculum night is planned for Tuesday, October 6 beginning at 6:00 PM! While this event will be held virtually, you will hear about the curriculum that your child will be learning this school year and have an opportunity to talk with your child's teachers. You will also sign up for parent-teacher conferences. Here's the plan this year:

6:00-6:20 Mr. Hilton & Mrs. Epler's Presentation via Zoom Webinar

6:20-6:45 Classroom Teacher Presentations

6:50-7:15 Classroom Teacher Presentations

How will parents attend the meetings? Good question!

  •  Mr. Hilton & Mrs. Epler's Presentation
    • Mr. Hilton will email all parents a link to the Zoom Webinar on Tuesday morning and post this link to the Mitchell School News site as well. This link will allow parents to access the Zoom Webinar from 6:00-6:20.
  • Classroom Teacher Presentations
    • Parents will have two options for accessing these meetings with classroom teachers.

1.     Using your child's iPad or Chromebook, log into your child's Schoology course page. On Tuesday afternoon teachers will publish a folder on the main course page titled "Curriculum Night Zoom Link". Parents will click that Zoom link to enter the meeting.

2.     Teachers will also email all families this same Zoom link. You can access this link from your email, click the link and be taken into the meeting.

We are looking forward to seeing you all at our virtual curriculum night this year! If you experience any problems accessing the sessions, please call the school office at 997-1216 for support.
