Mitchell School, Coolest School On Earth: Fourth Grade Promotional Videos - Part 2

Fourth graders at Mitchell School, in collaboration with the University of Michigan School of Education, have created Mitchell School promotional videos.  These videos were created to persuade families in our community that Mitchell School is the coolest school on Earth!

The videos below premiered on February 6, 2013 at a gala community event including representatives from many groups of Ann Arbor including our fabulous students and parents, teachers, Board of Education members, professors from the UM School of Education, UM interns, as well as reporters from several Ann Arbor news agencies.

Office Closed During Spring Break

The Mitchell School office will be closed during Spring Break - from Thursday, March 28 at 4:30 PM until Monday, April 8 at 8:00 AM.

Fuel Up For Fun - Registration Closed

Fuel Up For Fun registration at Mitchell School is now closed.  We've reached our maximum capacity.

Thank you to Jenna Bacolor, Rec and Ed Director, for her assistance in writing the grant to fund this program for Mitchell families.

Good Morning,

Thank you, thank you, thank you for joining us this past Friday, at our first Mitchell and Scarltett Family Fun Night Auction and Raffle.  Fun was had by all and we couldn't have done it without all of you (students, staff, administrators and parents), our volunteers and our very generous sponsors (Please check out our website for the official sponsor and donor list (http://mitchellptoannarbor.blogspot.com/). Our preliminary numbers show that we raised approximately $9,200, before expenses. 

We hope you have a great week, enjoy the Science Fair and have a wonderful Spring Break!

Gracias, gracias, gracias por estar con nosotros el viernes pasado, en nuestra primera Mitchell y Familia Scarltett Fun Night Subasta y Rifa. Se divirtieron todos y no podíamos haber hecho sin todos ustedes, nuestros voluntarios y nuestros patrocinadores generosos (Por favor, consulte nuestro website para el patrocinador oficial y la lista de donantes (http://mitchellptoannarbor.blogspot.com/). Las cifras preliminares muestran que hemos recaudado aproximadamente $ 9,200, antes de gastos.

Report Cards Go Home - March 18, 2013

Report cards were sent home on Monday, March 18.  We are proud of the progress made by all of our students.  While each child could never achieve the same as his or her peers, each child can and does learn at Mitchell.  If you have questions about your child's report card, please call your child's teacher.

Good Morning!

Our Mitchell/Scarlett Family Fun Night & Silent Auction is almost here!!!!  Starting at 6:00, Friday March 22^nd at Scarlett, you and your family can come, eat, play, and take part in our raffle and silent auction.  All proceeds will be shared by Mitchell's PTO and Scarlett's PTSO.  These funds allow us to continue supporting our wonderful and very deserving students and staff, through academic enrichment, fun activities and programs.  Please keep in mind that this is a family event and children need to be accompanied by an adult. 

Make sure you check out both attachments: Auction and Raffle Brochure (in English and Spanish) explaining all details and specifics about the events including raffle and game ticket prices.

Please consider donating Baked Goods for the Cake Walk or three 2-liters of pop, and you will get one free raffle ticket ($2 value).  ALL donations need to be dropped off starting, March 18^th AT MITCHELL ELEMENTARY.  You can also bring them to on the 22^nd, to Scarlett, up until 7:00 pm.

Nuestra Mitchell / Scarlett Noche de Diversión Familiar y Subasta Silenciosa ya casi está aquí!! A partir de las 6:00, el viernes 22 de marzo a Scarlett, usted y su familia puede venir, comer, jugar y participar en nuestra rifa y una subasta silenciosa. Todas las ganancias serán compartidas por la toma de fuerza de Mitchell y PTSO de Scarlett. Estos fondos nos permitirán seguir apoyando a nuestros estudiantes maravillosos y muy digno y el personal, a través de diversas actividades de enriquecimiento y académicas y programas. Por favor, tenga en cuenta que este es un evento de la familia y los niños tienen que estar acompañados por un adulto.

Chess Club Begins

The late-winter and spring session of chess club begins today in the art room at Mtichell! As a reminder the program is on Mondays from 3:45 - 5:15 on the following dates: 3/4, 3/25, 4/15, 4/22, 4/29, 5/6, 5/13

All students who signed up have been given a spot to participate.

Parents are expected to pick up students on time at 5:15.
